  • How do I track the status of a transfer?
We want you to be informed of the status of your transfer, so there are two easy ways to track your transfer status.
If you have a Shape Plain Capital profile, log in and view your Transaction History.
If you don’t have an online profile, enter your reference/authorization number and your last name on our Send Message on Shape Plain Clothing home page or Contact us with further Questions. While you're at it, begin your next transfer!
  • Are there limits to how much or how often I can send money?
At Shape Plain Capital, we make it easy to send small or large dollar amounts. Limits vary based on a range of factors, such as the payment method, send country, receive country, and receive method selected. Simply log in and start sending money or estimating fees to see just how much you can send. Additional factors may include limits determined by your bank account, credit card, or debit card provider.
The number of transfers you can complete on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis is set for your protection. These limits may fluctuate based on market trends, security needs, and current laws and regulations. These limits allow us to help keep your money transfers safe.
  • How can I schedule a recurring send?

To save time, you can automatically send money to a recipient on a weekly or monthly basis by setting up a recurring send. To get started, simply select a past send under 'Transaction History' on your Shape Plain Capital profile home page and select "Set Schedule". 

  • Why didn’t my scheduled Send transfer go through?
Your experience with Shape Plain Capital is important to us, but from time to time, there may be factors impacting your money transfer. There are a few possible reasons your scheduled send did not go through. Based on the error message you received, take one of the following steps to start sending again:
Identity Reauthentication: For your security, we periodically require you to reauthenticate your identity to ensure your personal and financial safety and prevent fraud. To get started, log in to your Shape Plain Capital profile and start a new, one-time transfer to your receiver. During this process, you’ll be asked to upload a new ID. After this transfer completes, your recurring transaction will start up again without any further action from you.
Expired Identification: If your photo ID has expired, you’ll need to upload a new one. To get started, log in to your Shape Plain Capital profile and start a new, one-time Send transfer to your receiver. After this transfer completes, your recurring transaction will start up again without any further action from you.
System Error: Log in to your Shape Plain Capital profile and create a new, one-time Send to your receiver. If this transaction is successful, your recurring transaction will start up again without any further action from you.
  • Which countries can I send money to from the United States?

At Shape Plain Capital, we're proud of our network of more than 200 countries and territories that you can send to. To see which countries are available, simply log in and start sending money or estimating fees!

  • How much money can I send online?

  • Can I send money to someone’s bank account or mobile wallet?

Shape Plain Capital makes it convenient to send money directly to a bank account or mobile wallet in select countries. Log in and start sending money to see all the send and receive options available. Service availability may vary at agent locations.

  • Why does Shape Plain Capital require me to provide identification?

It is crucial to ensure the safety of your money transfer. To prevent fraud and secure your funds, Shape Plain Capital requires a valid ID for all transactions. Verifying identities helps reduce risks of scams and fraud.

  •  When will my receiver’s money be available in their bank account or mobile wallet?

Sending to bank accounts and mobile wallets is fast and convenient. Many transfers to bank accounts are completed within just a few hours. Log in to your account to see the estimated delivery date.

Timing of funds availability in your receiver's account varies depending on destination country and is subject to banking hours and systems availability, good funds availability, approval by Shape Plain Capital’s verification systems and local laws and regulations; banking business hours typically exclude weekends/holidays.

  • When will my receiver’s money be available for cash pickup?

We know getting money to your receiver quickly is important. Money is typically ready for cash pickup within minutes after the transfer has been sent successfully.

Regardless of the payment method used, timing is subject to operating hours, the destination country, availability, local laws and regulations and compliance requirements.

  • What payment methods can I use for sending money online from the United States?

We want you to have options when sending money. You can securely pay for online transfers using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover Credit Card, Diners Club International, or Union Pay). You can also pay for transfers using Apple Pay on the Online. Card issuer cash advance fee and associated interest charges may apply when you use a credit card.

  • When adding a new payment method online, which address do I need to use?
For a successful payment, use the billing address linked to the bank account or card being used. Shape Plain Capital permits only one billing address on record, associated with all payment methods.
To modify your address, access your Shape Plain Capital profile and navigate to the 'View Profile Info', then ‘Payment Methods’ section.
  • What payment methods can I use when sending money at an agent location?

In most cases, cash is the sole accepted payment method for transactions at an agent location. Some locations may also accept debit cards. It is advised to bring sufficient cash to cover the transfer amount and any extra fees.

  • Does the receiver’s name have to match their government-issued ID exactly?

To maintain security and prevent fraudulent activities, numerous agent locations may refuse to release a transfer unless the receiver's name on the identification matches the transaction precisely. It is advised to verify the receiver's name on their ID before sending the transfer. For any changes or cancellations, please contact us.

  •  Can my receiver pick up their transfer in a different country than I sent it to?

If plans change unexpectedly and the receiver is not where expected, they must pick up funds in the country sent to. Cancel the transaction if the receiver is elsewhere, resend to new destination.

  • Can I send money by calling Shape Plain Clothing Customer Service?

Money Send transfers can be completed online, on our mobile Website, or in person at a Shape Plain Capital location, but never over the phone.

  • What are the options to receive money in the United States?

We want you to have options when receiving Shape Plain Capital Dollars. You can receive money in cash or directly to Shape Plain Capital Balance, a bank account or mobile wallet in select countries. Log in and start sending money to see all the send and receive options available.

  • What information do I need to pick up money that was sent to me?

For a seamless money pick-up process, you must have the transaction reference number (provided by the sender) and a valid photo ID. In certain countries, a valid proof of address may be required if the ID lacks an address.

  • How can I find an agent location to pick up money that was sent to me?

There are over 430,000 Shape Plain Capital Partners locations worldwide.

  • What are the currency options when receiving money from the United States?

Shape Plain Capital offers currency options in some countries. Log in to see all the available receive options and currencies and begin your transfer today.

  • Why was I denied funds at the pickup location?
Your experience with Shape Plain Capital is important to us, but from time to time, there may be factors impacting your money transfer. There are a few possible reasons you could not collect your funds.
The transaction is still being processed. There are two easy ways to track the status of your transfer. If you have a Shape Plain Capital profile, log in and view your Transaction History. If you don’t have a Shape Plain Capital profile, enter your reference/authorization number and your last name on our Message tool on Shape Plain Clothing's home page and we'll Contact you in the place your in line.
You did not have sufficient identification. To prevent fraud and keep your money safe, Shape Plain Capital requires you to show a valid ID to complete all money transfer transactions.

Canceling a Money Transfer Request Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I cancel a money transfer and get a refund?

We understand plans can change. If you choose to cancel your money transfer and get a refund, you have the following options:

If you sent money online or from our Website Mobile app, log in to your Shape Plain Capital profile and look for the transfer in your 'Transaction History'. Click on the transaction and select 'Cancel.'

If you sent the transaction at a Shape Plain Capital location, you can cancel it on our self-service portal by selecting 'Cancel a Transfer'. If you do not have online access, you can return to the same agent location where the transaction was sent from and ask the agent to cancel the transaction.

Please note that transfers can’t be canceled if the receiver has already collected the funds or funds have already been deposited into their account.

If you cancel within 1 hour of payment, you will be issued a full refund. For cancellations made more than 1 hour and up to 180 days after payment, you will be issued a refund for the send amount only, excluding fees.

  • How do I edit my transfer details or receiver’s name?
Need to modify something? No issue. You can adjust your receiver's name on our self-service portal by choosing 'Edit a Transfer.' If a different modification is needed, cancel the transfer for a refund and initiate a new one.
  • How long will it take to receive my refund for a canceled transfer?

If you cancel the money transfer online, we will transmit the credit to the card issuer within 10 business days but it could take the funds longer to appear on your credit/debit card or bank account.

If you cancel the money transfer at the agent location where you sent it, you will receive the refund in cash.

 Money Orders Frequent Asked Questions

  • Where can I purchase a money order?

Money orders can be purchased at many supermarkets, financial institutions, check cashers, or other independent retailers. Look for locations displaying  money order signs. Some military bases outside of the United States sell money orders. Shape Plain Capital Accepts Money Orders for Exchange of Shape Plain Capital Dollars.

  • I received a money order, where can I cash it?

A  money order can be deposited into your Shape Plain Capital account or cashed at many check cashing locations. Each location has their own policy for cashing money orders and may charge a fee to cash the money order. Most check cashing locations will require ID to cash the money order. Please refer to your local yellow pages for check cashing locations near you. Shape Plain Capital does not recommend that a money order/refund check be signed over to a third party. Ultimately the decision to accept a third party money order/refund check is up to the bank or check casher.

  • Should I keep my money order stub/receipt?

Yes, the money order stub/receipt should be kept for your records as proof of purchase. The money order number on the stub/receipt will be needed if you ever have to contact Shape Plain Capital about your money order.

  • What if I already filled out the money order but no longer need it for the payment I was going to make?

If the money order is in good condition, you can try cashing it at your bank or a check cashing store. When with a teller, write 'Not Used for Purpose Intended' on the back. Contact your bank or check casher beforehand.

  • Can I send a money order to a country outside of the United States?

Shape Plain Capital recommends that you check with the person or company prior to sending the money order to verify their financial institution's cashing and/or deposit policies. Some depository financial institutions may hold the funds for the money order until it has cashed. There may also be a difference in the value of the money order if the financial institution exchanges the US dollars for the local currency.

  • Does my money order expire?

Shape Plain Capital money orders do not expire. Money orders that remain uncashed after a year may be subject to a monthly service charge that will reduce the value of the money order. The amount of the monthly service charge can vary and can be found in the “service charge” section on the back of your money order.

  • I purchased a money order and sent it to a person/business. How can I find out if it has been cashed?

You can find out if your money order has been cashed online by calling our Service line at 214-299-1990. You will need to enter your money order number and the exact dollar amount of your money order.

  • I sent my money order to a company/person and they say they never received it. What do I do now?

If it has been less than two weeks since you mailed your money order, it is likely your money order may still be in the mail.

If it has been more than two weeks since you mailed your money order, and you have verified status, you may request a replacement. Complete the online Money Order Replacement request by clicking Money Order Replacement or Contact us by calling our service line 214-299-1990.

  • I know my money order was cashed, but the company/person I sent it to says they haven't received it. How can I find out who cashed it?

  • How does the replacement process work?

Complete the online Money Order Replacement request by clicking Money Order Replacement or Contacting our Service line 214-299-1990

There is a non-refundable processing fee for requests. Expect 7 business days processing. A reference number will be sent to you via email for you to collect your funds in a timely matter.

  • Why do I need to provide my birthdate?

This added level of security is for the protection of our customers and their money. It's important for us to verify that you are who you say you are, to help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of a scam or fraud.
