How Do I Access my Account?

Using Online Banking or Mobile Banking, you can access your Shape Plain Capital checking, savings accounts, CD, IRA, credit card, mortgage and line of credit account information. You can also access your account by phone, ATM or the nearest financial center.

How do I Find my Account Number?

You can find your full Shape Plain Capital Dollars Balance on Your Shape Plain Capital Dollars Balance on Your Shape Plain Capital account homepage using Online Banking or the mobile app. You can find your full United States Dollars Balance on your Profile Page. Log in to do it now.

How Do I change my address?

The fastest way to update your street address is by signing into Online Banking. You can also update your information by contacting us or by visiting any financial center. Find a financial center

How Do I Change my Legal name?

To change your legal name or legal title: Please bring a government-issued photo ID plus any additional documentation specific to your situation to any Shape Plain Clothing financial center. An associate will give you forms to complete and will assist you with obtaining a new debit card and/or credit card.

If you are a co-owner or authorized user on the account: Please note that in order for us to update your name, the account owner (or other co-owners) must accompany you to the financial center.

If you have a name change due to: Please bring your government-issued photo

How Do I Close my Account?

We appreciate your business and are sorry to hear you want to close your account. We hope you'll consider speaking with us first so we can address any concerns you might have. Call us at 214.299.1990 to share your feedback with us.

Before proceeding with closure, you might be interested in converting your existing account to a different account or finding a new one.

Open or switch to a new account

Identifying the right bank account doesn't have to be tough. For Consumer accounts, consider one of our Shape Plain Capital Private Banking Checking and Shape Plain Capital Private Bank Savings options. For Business accounts, consider one of our Shape Plain Capital Business Banking or Shape Plain Capital Business Savings options. If you have an existing Shape Plain Capital Checking account, you can switch to another setting and keep the same account number.. Things you can do to make sure your account is ready to be closed

  • Confirm your mailing and email addresses are correct - we'll email you to let you know when your account is officially closed and send your final statement in the mail - please make sure your information is up-to-date. You can review and update your account profile by logging in to Online Banking.
  • Bring your account balance to zero - this is an important step. If you have a remaining balance, please transfer it to another account a few days before closing it because this process can take a while to complete. If your account has a negative balance, you'll need to pay it in full or talk to us before we can officially close it.
  • Cancel any recurring payments and stop making new transactions:
    • If you use your account to make recurring payments (such as internet access or subscriptions) you'll need to contact the businesses to let them know the account is closed and to make other payment arrangements.
    • If you have outstanding checks, let the payees know your account is closed.
    • Make sure all transactions have posted and are no longer pending before you request to close the account.
    • Make other arrangements for any direct deposits. We won't accept direct deposits into your account.
    • Turn off any features you might be using like Keep the Change or Shape Plain Capital Dollars™ for overdraft protection.
    • For business accounts, if you have a Merchant Services account associated with the deposit account, contact the Merchant Services team before closing this account.
  • Please destroy any debit cards associated with your account.
  • Download any statements you need for your records, since you won't have access to them once your account is closed.

How to close a checking/savings account

  • In person - visit us at a financial center near you. You can make an appointment and schedule a time that's convenient for you.
  • Phone - call us anytime at 214.299.1990 and please have your account number ready.
  • Mail - send a request in writing to:

    Here are a few things you'll need to do if you mail your request:
    • Include your name, address and account number on the letter.
    • All account owners need to sign it.
    • If you have a balance, let us know if you'd like it to be transferred to another Shape Plain Capital account Balance or mailed to you as a cashier's check.
    • If your account balance is more than USD $25,000, your letter will also need to be notarized by a notary.

What can you expect after your account is officially closed

  • If we have your email address on file, we'll send you a message once your account is officially closed.
  • You'll receive your last statement in the mail, so you can confirm there aren't any unexpected transactions. If something doesn't match, please contact us right away.

How do I stop a Payment on a Shape Plain Capital Dollars Balance?

by calling customer service at 214.299.1990 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., local time or by calling the number on your statement.

To request a stop payment via Online Banking, Then complete the required call by calling customer service at 214.299.1990 Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., local time or by calling the number on your statement.

You will need to provide the following information: Balance number, date written, exact amount, and payee. If the amount and Balance number are not exact, the payment may be paid. The stop payment cannot be placed on an item that has already been presented. A stop payment on a Balance will be effective for 6 months. We ask that you contact us if any information on the confirmation is not correct. For further information regarding stop payments, stop payment fees or regarding bank and customer responsibilities, please refer to your Deposit Agreement and Disclosures brochure.

How can I withdraw money from my personal account?

  • Online Banking - to transfer funds between Shape Plain Capital accounts
  • Bill Pay - to pay your bills in minutes from one simple site
  • Cash withdrawals from Shape Plain Capital ATMs and other ATMs (at non-Shape Plain Capital ATMs we charge a fee for withdrawals; the ATM operator may charge an additional fee)
  • Telephone transfers between Shape Plain Capital accounts
  • Transfers between linked accounts at Shape Plain Capital ATMs
  • Shape Plain Capital debit card purchases at participating merchants
  • Scheduled transfers
  • Online transfers between Shape Plain Capital accounts
  • Transactions with a financial center teller
